Sh. Rishi Kumar Shukla recently retired as Director, Central Bureau of Investigation.  Before that, he served as DGP Madhya Pradesh. An officer of the IPS 1983 batch, he has extensive experience in law enforcement, investigation and intelligence, both at the State and Central Government levels.

During his 37 years long career in the police service, Shri Shukla displayed a passion for bringing about transformative changes wherever he served; building and strengthening public institutions to deliver safety, security and services to the common citizens.    

Sh. Shukla holds a master’s degree in Philosophy & has been awarded the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished and Meritorious Service. He has a keen interest in Good Governance, Public Safety, Conflict management & National Security and has a special interest in raising & nurturing specialist institutions.
