Honourable Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Indian Police Foundation and Indian Police Institute on October 21, 2015 at the India International Centre, New Delhi. Eminent speakers included Shri Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Soli Sorabjee, Shri Dilip Padgaonkar, Shri GK Pillai, Smt Patricia Mukhim, Shri Praveen Swami and Shri Prakash Singh. Shri N.Ramachandran, President of Police Foundation and institute made a presentation to explain the context, aims and objectives of the Foundation. The Home Minister expressed hope that the Foundation will help bring about positive and transformative changes in the Indian Police, working closely with the Central and State Governments and police research and training institutions.
